Friends of the Library Need You

Friends of the Atlanta Public Library needs your help! More participants are being sought to keep the Friends organization active. The group holds two fundraisers each year, the Forest Festival Book Sale in August and the Taste of Atlanta/Queen City each Spring. All proceeds are used to benefit the library.

Membership has dropped in the past few months from 100 members to only a handful of active members who continue the work of the organization. The Friends holds only two or three called meetings during the year.

President Twanni Moore reminds current members to renew their memberships and urges library patrons to join the organization in its support of the Library. Dues are very modest and assist the Library in providing numerous services to the public.
